Frequently Asked Questions

01

Where will the Spring Training Clinics be held?

Clinics are at the Seabury Center on Berea College's campus. The pool and locker room are located on the 1st floor.  A Berea Dolphin representative will be at the table to receive payment and answer any questions.

02

Where can parents go during lessons?

On the second floor of the Seabury is an observation deck where parents can watch their child swim.

03

What are the requirements to be on the swim team?

The child must be at least 5 years old by March 1st of the current year and be able to swim the length of the Seabury pool unassisted.

04

What are practice times for the swim team?

Practice times are dependent upon the ability to use the Seabury pool prior to the opening of the Berea Community Pool.  Once the Berea Community Pool opens for the season, swim practices will be held daily, weather permitting, from 8am - 10am.  The younger swimmers (under 10) typically practice from 8AM to 9AM.  All other swimmers practice the full 2 hours.

There are no weekend practices.

05

When/Where are swim meets?

Swim meets are generally held on Wednesday evenings.  If the meet is a home meet, it will be at the Berea Community Pool.  Meets usually start at 5PM, but that is subject to change.  Swimmers will be given a time to be at the pool for their scheduled warm-ups.  Away meets will be held at the opposing team's venue.  Directions will be provided via email or hard copy.
